Restoring The Broken Places

Everywhere you look on the 1400 block of Campbell Ave in Southeast Roanoke you see the effects of years of poverty and neglect.  Houses are boarded up.  Siding is falling off.  Windows are broken out.  Trash is everywhere.  It reminds me of the desolation of my spirituality before Jesus moved into the neighborhood and renovated my heart…..this is the perfect street for us to start on.

Resignation Letter

Saying goodbye is a hard thing to do.  We mailed the letter below out to our former church family, Fellowship Community Church, in February of 2012 letting them know that God was calling us into a new chapter of our story.  Our resignation took effect on March 1, 2012.

City Mission’s Five Initiatives

City Mission is off to a great start in 2012 and we are looking forward to all that God has in store!  As you know, our Saturday Breakfast with the SE Roanoke community is steadily growing and to keep us focused on the mission we put together a team of people to pray through and plan a comprehensive approach to this year.  Our first Planning Meeting was Saturday, January 28th, and we really weighed through what steps to take next to impact the area with the gospel.
